Overview

Ramsey’s flagship product, Financial Peace University, is a class-based approach to teaching people how to pay off debt and build wealth. This legendary product has had 7 million people go through this program. I joined the team in 2018 as a creative leader after a merger of that team with EveryDollar. For several years, I led the design team as the business and product underwent many changes. 

My Role

I first began working with the brand in 2017 coming on as Associate Creative Director. The following year the entire product was overhauled. I led the brand through that transition.  Partnered with others to overhaul the structure of the course, video content, workbook,  and rebrand. Worked with key stakeholders across the company to shift the product and brand.   I was in charge of creative direction and worked tirelessly to make sure the project was completed well.

After twenty years, the brand was in need of a refresh. Around this time, we were beginning to define global branding standards.

The pandemic shifted how people came together. We had to respond to new ways to help people with their money. I led the creative team through a several month experimental project to see how we could take the concepts of our content and shift from just teaching it to helping people apply it. UX research was a key component in visualizing our customer’s journey and defining personas. Based on that research, we then had multiple teams create an effective experience of getting a user to pay off all of their debt in 24 months or less.
